I need to buy a new hearing aid, the cost is $2,725 and I have no insurance. I'm deaf in my left ear and partly deaf in my right ear I have what is considered a profound hearing loss.

My doctor has suggested a Starkey Destiny 1200 hearing aid.

Friday Jan 25, 2008 - Well at least one good thing came of my hearing appointment, I may have found a new hearing aid provider. After doing his test he did not reccommend the Destiny 200 because of how profound my hearing loss is. Instead he he recommended the Destiny 1200 because it has more power. The Real bad news is its $2,725.00 The good news he loaned me a loaner hearing aid so I can hear at least somewhat better than no hearing aid at all and hes willing to participate in a payment plan. $900.00 Down and $400.00 a month untill I reach $1,700.00 then he will make mold and send off order. Then I make 2 more payments of $400.00 an 1 payment of $225.00.
